Memorial Day in Colorado

Last weekend my sweet husband let us join my sister for a road trip down to Colorado. It was so much fun not having to send Matt off to work for a few days and it was awesome being able to see my family again!

I can't say our weekend was the most relaxing because my parents were moving but I was so glad that I was able to help them. I am so amazed at how much my parents have done for me and continually do for me and I am so sad when I look back that I wasn't a bigger help to them. But on the bright side, I have an eternity to make it up to them and I definitely plan to do that.

Besides moving though, Matt and I were able to take Trevor to the pool, which really made it feel like summer.

I was also able to go to Amanda's bridal shower. It was so fun to see some of the ladies I haven't seen in a while and to celebrate Amanda. Their wedding is getting so close now and I am so excited to have Kyle in our family, I couldn't be happier for them.

Sunday night, we got to go down to Jamin's land and go shooting and have a bonfire. Matt was in heaven with all of the guns and the guys had fun blowing things up with Tannerite. I loved sitting around the fire, campfire is one of my favorite smells and it was fun just to be with everyone.

You can kinda see the baby bump here (it doesn't just look like a food baby)

Monday was my favorite because we got to go BOATING!!! Being on the boat in the summer with my family is definitely my all time favorite thing. The weather was so nice, even if it was a little windy. Unfortunately the day ended with my dad running over a submerged log so that was a definite bummer.

After a fun weekend it was hard to go back to Provo... I'm excited to get out of Utah, hopefully in the near future but we will se what is in store for us. After such a fun weekend we are so excited to go to California and Colorado in just a few weeks!

My "Pre" Birthday

Yesterday I woke up to Matt jumping up and down on my bed like a little kid. He was just so excited to take me to the zoo for my birthday on thursday, he could barely contain himself as I crawled out of bed and got ready. We grabbed a quick lunch and headed up to Salt Lake.

I was surprised at how small the Hogle zoo is compared to the Denver zoo but it was just the right size for some birthday fun.

We tried to learn from the Apes how to be parents...

Matt was close (I guess) to being the same size as an Ape?

My heart seriously melted at these Blackfooted Cats. But really I want one.

Also, I want a baby... Giraffe.

It's days like these when I wish someone would just follow us around and take pictures for us because it's so hard to get good pictures together.

After the zoo we stopped at wendy's to get a snack for our long ride home and then when we were back in Provo, Matt took me to Zupas for dinner. I'm not usually a salad and sandwich type of girl but pregnancy has really thrown off my tastes and it was delicious!

That night Matt made me go wait in the bedroom while he set everything up. I came out to him dressed in his best with a vest and a bow tie, sitting at our table with a deck of cards in hands. He explained to me that we were betting peachie o's and that when I had enough then I would get a clue as to where my birthday presents were. I had a stroke of good luck because I pretty much school Matt in poker and it didn't take me long at all to get all my clues. My sweet husband got me everything I wanted: cds, Jak and Daxter for PS3, and hair stuff. Plus I got to eat all the peachie o's I wanted.

After a great and long day, Matt was so patient and let me play Jak and Daxter for... a really long time, seeing as I got carried away.

I am so thankful to have such a wonderful husband who takes such good care for him. I love him soooo much!

An Announcement

We are so incredibly excited to parents and I have no doubt that Matt will make an awesome daddy!
