For Valentine's Day we traded babysitting with Tyler and Shelley so Matt and I went out on Thursday and watched Boston and Ivy on Valentine's Day. It was so much fun hanging out with all the kids! I love how each of them has their very own personality and I love watching them at all the different stages in life.

Lincoln was laying on my lap and Ivy came up and stole his binky. He didn't seem to mind this but then she put her hand on his face and he started crying and just lost it. Poor boy! He needs to be around other kids more :]

Yesterday was such a nice day and I loved being able to go outside! I cannot wait for summer and to take Lincoln to explore the great outdoors! It was so much fun to run around and play some tag with Boston. He is at such a fun age and is absolutely hilarious.

As of late

I think my most favorite thing about being a mommy is watching Lincoln grow and learn all about the world. It is strange to step back and watch him get to know all the things that we take for granted.

One of my most favorite things that we are learning is water. I think if I was more athletic then I would have been a swimmer (I tried it once...). We took him swimming for the first time and I really didn't know how he would take it since he has never been the most enthusiastic about bedtime. Well after a little hesitation he seemed to be okay with it. We have also tried swimming in the bathtub and while he seemed indifferent to it for the most part, he got the biggest smile when he was laid on his back. I just really hope he loves water because I love it and I love boating.

Also, hands. He is obsessed with hands. He loves to just sit and study and feel and stare at my hands. He also loves eating them. His own hands and others. He is always trying to pull peoples hands into his mouth.

And, finally rolling over. He hasn't quite mastered rolling belly to back but he has done it a few times. He's still young though so we'll let him figure that one out.

Bubba

While I was pregnant with Lincoln we always joked that he would have a big head since Matt and I have been known for our large heads. Our hunch was confirmed after he was born because yes his head was huge.

But how huge is it????

Today he had his two month check up and...

his head is in the

99th

percentile.

I guess it can't get much bigger than that.

Also he is

13 pounds

and

24 inches
